Why We Breed

Breeding for us is a passion borne of the love of bringing exceptional foals into the world and the connection that forms with each new crop of foals. Just as with children, we want to see each foal have a happy full life and maximize its unique talents to their full potential. Traveling to Europe and visiting with various breeders and attending breed association stallion licensings, we have come to appreciate what is necessary for US breeders to not only produce elite horses but to develop them to the international level. Our mission is to create and foster these horses along the path to national and international competition. We want our talented riders to be able to develop horses bred in the US along that path. Although there are some disadvantages we face as a diverse country with fewer passionate fans of our sport, we also have advantages in how we raise our foals in their early developmental years and create a bond that translates into horses wanting to partner with their riders along the journey. The breeding is in one sense the easiest part of creating exceptional horses as top quality mares and frozen semen can produce foals that rival any foals in the world. The challenge now becomes to foster these foals along the path in the right hands to develop them in a true partnership that allows them to excel in sport.
